Ingredients
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 can Black Beans rinsed and drained
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- salt, pepper, chili to taste

- Cook brown rice in salted cooking water.
- Toast sunflower seeds without fat in a pan. Then remove and put aside.
- Put some oil in the hot pan and add the diced onion. Sauté until onion is soft. Add the black beans and mash them, leaving only a few whole beans.
- Add sunflower seeds, bread crumbs, cooked rice and seasoning. Knead and mix everything with your hands and season to taste.
- Now form the patties. Knead first a ball and then form the patty - the better kneaded and pressed the more compact the patty. Use wet hands, then the dough isn't sticky 🙂
- Heat skillet, add oil and grill your patties 3 - 4 minutes on each side.
- Serve your burgers on toasted buns with desired toppings.
