Hiking in San Gerardo de Rivas, Costa Rica: CLOUDBRIDGE. Part 2.

Cheerful whisteling I walk my legs uphill into the cloud forest of Cloudbridge.

Today I hike the second third of the nature reserve and the sun is not shining. The cloud forest presents itself in clouds.

Ooooh………..now I begin to see!

Cloud forest! THAT excplains why there are so many clouds are here and the daily fog…

But that’s also an advantage: it’s not too hot! Well, it also could be a bit chilly as it is only5. 5 AM!

But the longer I hike the nicer the weather gets.

Cloudbridge part 2 I walk more athletically than Part 1!
Because I hike daily and slowly get used to it…

Nevertheless it is and stays steep. And I recommend: please don’t walk in sneakers! The path is rocky, many roots invite you to stumble, it is steep and the rocks slippery. And many paths are more like a litte creek because of all the rain.

Path…

...path

No worries (mum), I put my steps even more carefully as I believe in case I fall, Armageddon or a panther will find me more likely then a search party…

Thank you, Sigrid and Peter, for my great hiking boots! I always achieve my destination safely, dry-shod and blister-free!  ❤️ Thanks ❤️

The forest is just enchanting! And I enjoy the time of beeing alone. I love my host family with all it’s turmoil. But breathing all by myself at this time of the day in the wild – that’s out of this world!

Soon I will be back and marvel at part 3.
