Yeeees, on the 9th of November I indeed turn 40. And noooo, I can’t believe it. But as my friends around me also do have countless forty candles on their birthday cakes it could be true, and not a tipo in my birth certificate…
When I was eight years old I thought my friend’s older sister is incredibly matured – and old. She was fourteen. You can imagine what I thought of forty-year-olds!
But even if my skins elasticity is not anymore like when I was eight – I still am beautiful:
I believe for a real birthday it needs presents. And a birthday cake. And birthday cards. And sparkling wine. And did I mention birthday presents? – at least for a milestone birthday ?
For my thirtieth birthday I got a piano. Maybe not all of you know, that I play the piano since I am five years old. When I was around twentyfive I had to learn the guitar as in my student apartment was no piano and I had no possibility to play somewhere else. And for my 30th everybody, including me ;-), altogether we pooled money and realized my most heartfelt wish: a digital piano.
THAT was a crazyawesomewow present! And everytime I play I think of my birthday and all the nice people that helped me to let this dream became true.
SUCH a memory I would like to have for my 40th birthday as well. And how nice, I do have a heartfelt wish for quite a long time as I just can’t afford it to buy it by myself:
my first and very own camera!
Kiki’s greatest wish: an own camera
To decorate my blog with nice(r) pictures I visited the photography class of
p h o t o g r a p h e r a n d j o u r n a l i s t : C h r i s t i n a F e l s c h e n
Wow! Christina not only lectured, explained and revealed everything about shutter speed and the correct use of the aperture.
For the perfect picture Christina throws herself in the wet, cold and rocky sand 🙂
She also opened our hearts, got our creativity out and, with her thrilling and captivating nature, she taught us the ART of photography.

By the way, she took my cover picture:
Well, right now, if I want to take a picture I have the choice to either take my Motorola Moto G3 Phone or to ask Matthias if he lends me his compact camera… Both can only be a compromise. So I would love to have my very own camera for a long time! And this wish I would like to fulfill for my 40th birthday – and have a lifelong memory just like I have with my piano.
A piano and a camera can be more than just widgets. They can be the enbodiment of a wonderful memory.
And if someone has wanted to make me a present, I would be more than happy if you help me to make my
