40 years of Kiki
40 years of Kiki – that sounds like a really, REALLY long time. Whew. Admittedly, I was not too thrilled to have to leave the thirties. But sometimes you just have bad luck.
Well then, if I have to celebrate my fortieth birthday, then at least decent – who knows how long I can still do that … to celebrate properly and so. I do not get younger! Continue reading “40 years of Kiki”

Alcatraz – and the story why it smells if you (don’t) let some air in
What a trip! The Pinnacles national park always is great! The 9 miles hike feels more like a walk than a hike. Geez, THAT sounds so snot-nosed, hahaha, but either it’s just like that – or my calculations are wrong and it’s not 9 miles …
However: Continue reading “Alcatraz – and the story why it smells if you (don’t) let some air in”

A fortnight in California – the most beautiful places
I am sitting here, writing and big elephant tear drops are running over my cheeks and dripping on my laptops keyboard. I am pretty happy not to be seven years old anymore and forced to write with a fountain pen – by then when I had to cry over my work, the ink would smudge and I had to write everything again (as if it were not bad enough to cry).

(If you don’t speak Kiki-tongue: Continue reading “A fortnight in California – the most beautiful places”
Kiki turns 40! – “What I would like for my birthday…”
Yeeees, on the 9th of November I indeed turn 40. And noooo, I can’t believe it. But as my friends around me also do have countless forty candles on their birthday cakes it could be true, and not a tipo in my birth certificate…
When I was eight years old I thought my friend’s older sister is incredibly matured – and old. She was fourteen. You can imagine what I thought of forty-year-olds!
But even if my skins elasticity is not anymore like when I was eight – I still am beautiful: Continue reading “Kiki turns 40! – “What I would like for my birthday…””
Costa Rica. National Park Corcovado – Paradise² ?
Ups. I have kept you waiting quite a long time…but now it is happening: I’ll tell you what exactly happened in Corcovado!
In my Very Quickly News I already have pronounced it: I may visit the National Park Corcovado, one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica – at least so I was told. It’s not only one of the most beautiful but also most expansive places – therefore I had not thought that this adventure could become true. In this park you can only enter with a guide – and if you are going by yourself the cost are Continue reading “Costa Rica. National Park Corcovado – Paradise² ?”
Speechless in California
I take farewell of my family and am hugged one last time. I can not suppress my tears. Mis padres neither.
I whisper softly adios. Well. Softly and whispering is still exaggerated. I just move my lips. Because my voice has decided not to go back to the USA but to stay in Costa Rica (for an indefinite time). Only cough, rhinitis, headache and sore throat want to come along with me… Continue reading “Speechless in California”
